Data Protection & Portfolio Inputs

Silfio is designed to comply with applicable UK and EU data protection requirements, including UK GDPR and GDPR. We minimise the personal data we collect, do not sell client data, and do not use client portfolio inputs for advertising or onward sale.

Portfolio inputs submitted to Silfio Engine are used only to produce the requested risk modelling outputs. We do not store portfolio inputs after processing and do not retain them for future use.

Silfio Conflict Risk Model (Excel Add-in)

Silfio Conflict Risk Model is an add-in for Microsoft Excel that models armed-conflict property risk using the Silfio engine. When you press Run Model, the add-in reads the input tables of the open workbook (portfolio, policies, investments, scenario and settings) and sends them over an encrypted connection to the Silfio API, which returns the results to the workbook. These inputs are handled as described above: used only to produce the requested outputs and not retained. The add-in does not read other workbooks or other parts of your computer, and it contains no advertising or analytics trackers.

If you enter an API key in the add-in, it is remembered only in Excel's local storage on your device and is sent only to the Silfio API to authenticate your requests. You can remove it at any time by clearing the API key field and running the model again.
